Common product decline reasons & how to fix them

Decline reason

What it means

How to fix it

Category violates publishing policies

Product is in a prohibited/restricted category (e.g., weapons, counterfeit, adult content).

Remove restricted products or select an allowed category. For details, review Tabby’s product policy guidelines.

Price mismatch

Price or sale price in the feed doesn’t match your website.

Update feed prices so they match the back to the website. Ensure VAT is included in the final price. Currently we do not accept separate price files.

Corrupt description

The description contains broken HTML, unsupported symbols, emojis, spelling errors, grammar issues, or contact information.

Remove formatting errors, emojis, and contact details. Correct any spelling or grammar mistakes. Use clear, plain text that accurately describes the product.

Broken URL

Product link is invalid, missing, or doesn’t lead to a product page.

Update with a valid, working URL that loads the product detail page.

Text/graphics on image

Product images contain added elements such as text, logos, watermarks, promo banners, pricing labels.

Images may also be blurry, distorted, or not accurately represent the product.

Use clean, high-quality product photos that clearly show the item. Avoid overlays such as text, logos, or watermarks.

Do not include promotional banners, pricing, or discount messaging on images.

Ensure images are not blurry, stretched, or cropped incorrectly.

Use the correct product photo (not a placeholder or stock image that doesn’t match).

Incorrect language in title/description

Product title or description is in the wrong language for the market.

Update text to match the correct locale (e.g., Arabic for Arabic market listings).
