The idea of Alternative Airlines came about when two friends from the charter broking industry sat down together, chatting about small airlines that fly to lesser-known destinations across the world. They came to the realisation that there wasn’t an easy way to book flights on these airlines online.
Fast forward a few years and Alternative Airlines now exists as a quick and easy way to book flights on more than 600 airlines (big and small), with over 40 payment options and 160+ currencies. This means that no matter where in the world they’re flying to and from, people can always be confident that they’ll be able to easily find and book the flight that they want, all supported by expert customer service.
Alternative Airlines isn’t one to sit still and in 2021 expanded to the MENA region. A year later they joined hands with Tabby to provide flexible payment options for their travellers.
After integrating with Tabby the numbers of flights booked in the MENA region increased by no less than 7.5x. Moreover, the average ticket price also increased by 41%.
Alternative airlines uses Tabby in their marketing throughout the customer journey. From initial awareness on social media, to email marketing and website snippets. It has already paid off by increasing traffic and raising its average order value.
